But Govenrment is still not agreed to the ₹9,000 demand yet. Also EPFO responded that this big hike will be hard to manage with current budget.

Impact Of Pensioners’ Movement

As the elections are coming closer, the pension hike movement is getting political attention. Some political party leaders have started supporting the EPF Pensioners’ Movement. Current Market Economists said that the pensioners’ demand is fair from a human point of view, but the current pension system will need government funding to make it possible.

Mid-Year Policy

The coming months will be more important for PF pensioners. If the demands are ignored, they are planning more protests and unity across the country. Every pensioner’s eye is now on the official response from the Ministry of Labour and EPFO, as they may share their decision before the mid-year policy review.
